Jehovah’s Witness

These are the religious groups who don’t celebrate Christmas and their reasons for doing so.

This religious group is one of the main opponents of Christmas. It’s interesting to note that things weren’t always like this. Jehovah’s Witnesses used to celebrate Christmas in the past. This lasted until 1928, when one official conducted further research.

J.R. Brown, a spokesman for the church’s Brooklyn, New York, headquarters, claims that the official’s conclusions prompted the church to discontinue the festival.

This is based on “false religious beliefs or behaviors,” according to the official. This is described in the 1993 book “Jehovah’s Witnesses – Proclaimers of God’s Kingdom,” according to Deseret News.

But it took some time for everyone to accept the new custom of not celebrating Christmas.

According to Brown, the group “stopped participating in numerous customs that were similarly polluted after casting away theological teachings that had pagan foundations. But for a while, some holidays did not receive the close examination they required. Christmas was among them.

They do not observe Christmas because they feel the Bible would have made a statement if it had been important to do so, but they do not stop others from doing so.

Witnesses now inquire, “Does this suit God, since it is not referenced in the Bible,” in Brown’s words.
How Witnesses currently celebrate the holiday

According to Brown, “We do not launch into a sermon on the pagan origins if someone is dealing with you and they say, ‘Merry Christmas.

“You don’t make a big deal out of it every time because let’s face it, when people say, ‘Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,’ they really do mean it.

We’ll claim that at this time of year, a lot of people do in fact think about Jesus. Did you pay attention to what he prioritized in his life?

Brown continues, “I go out on my own. I’ve been doing this since I was 4 years old, and I’m now 74.

Due to their pagan roots, birthdays, Halloween, Easter, Mother’s Day, New Year’s Day, and Valentine’s Day are also avoided.

Seventh Day Adventist Church

This church opposes Christmas celebrations, just like Jehovah’s Witnesses do.
We do not celebrate Christmas as the Birth of Christ per se as Christ was not born in December, according to a leaflet from the group that attends church on Saturdays, the Jewish Sabbath day, rather than Sunday.

“He would have told us when He was born, but He did not want us to celebrate His birth. It has evolved into a commercial holiday with Christ added. It is a shamanic practice.

“We come together to celebrate friendship and love as a family and for the children with the Family or Friends. Easter is a pagan celebration as well, but we honor Christ’s Resurrection and remember what He has done for us instead of celebrating the Name. It is a gathering for the kids as well, so we don’t make a big deal out of it. It is an individual decision.

Deeper Life

Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, the leader of Deeper Life Bible Church, stated to his congregation and the public a few years ago that his church did not observe the well-known festival.

We don’t celebrate Christmas or sing Christmas carols since it has an idolatrous history, he explained at the December 2013 retreat.

God’s Kingdom Society (GKS)

Another anti-Christmas church is this one. The church maintains that there is not a single piece of proof in the Bible that Jesus Christ was born on December 25, according to their official website.

Instead, they think He was born in October and that the genesis of Christmas was “a raucous pagan feast in honor of the deity of the sun.”

This church commemorates the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ in October while other Christians celebrate Christmas in December. This is accomplished on a day known as Freedom Day.

After leaving the Jehovah’s Witnesses, St. Gideon Meriodere Urhobo founded the church in 1934. His lifespan was 1903–1952. The corporate headquarters are in Warri.

Religious Society of Friends

The Religious Society of Friends, usually known as Quakers, is a particular religious sect.

There is no need to rejoice on just one day because, according to this church, “every day is a holy day.”

Some Quakers are attempting to return to the practices of early Christianity, which is another reason why they do not observe Christmas.

There is an endeavor within some elements of Quaker practice to try and research and find early Christianity, the church before it became a political institution, according to Chris Pifer, a spokesman for the Friends General Conference.

“Christmas wasn’t celebrated in anything like the form it is today in very early Christianity.”

According to Wikipedia, 52% of people worldwide are from Africa. The majority of Quakers on this continent are said to reside in Kenya.

The Nigerian branch of the church began as a tiny worship gathering in Lagos in the early 1990s, according to the church’s website, fwccafrica.org.

Interesting fact: Mountain of Fire Ministries (MFM) do not observe Christmas. We don’t celebrate Christmas since its satanic roots, according to the founder, Pastor D.K. Olukoya.

No of what these churches may think, millions of Christians worldwide continue to celebrate Christ’s birthday on December 25 every year.
