Peter Obi Obi: Don't give Nigeria to somebody who can't stand for 30 minutes.

According to Obi, the nation is ill and shouldn’t be given to a sick individual.

On January 12, 2023, the LP presidential candidate challenged Nigerians not to vote for any presidential candidate who could not stand for 30 minutes at his alma mater, the University of Nigeria (UNN), Nsukka, Enugu State.

This country is ill, and it shouldn’t be given to a sick individual, stated Obi.

“I don’t want to imply that anyone is ill. We don’t want people who can’t stand for 30 minutes because we have been here for more than two hours. When there are elections in the United States, debates are held; once, Barack Obama was asked a personal question, to which he responded.

In his address, Obi also made fun of Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for president, by emphasizing the need to avoid choosing a candidate whose true age, name, and schoolmates are unknown.

But in Nigeria, he continued, “Someone wants to run for office, but we don’t know his genuine age, his name, or the schools he attended. He is trying to guide everyone even though no one is aware of his true identity.

Peter Obi is my name, and I attended CKC and the University of Nigeria in Nsukka. Today’s VC and DVC are both people I went to school with. We both entered and graduated from college in the same year.

“My seniors and juniors, who I attended school with, are present today. Why do we now have individuals without classmates? This is very crucial.

Therefore, in order to prevent the country from getting into “further trouble,” he asked Nigerians to vote with integrity and faith in the general election of 2023.
