What’s been happening: Since 2009, Boko Haram militants in northern Nigeria have slaughtered tens of thousands of people and driven millions from their homes, causing one of the worst humanitarian disasters in history.

What you should know: According to the Joint Military Taskforce in Northeast Nigeria, Operation Hadin Kai, 98 of the pupils who were abducted from the Government Girls’ Secondary School Chibok in Borno State are still being held captive.
Out of the 276 people kidnapped by Boko Haram terrorists on April 14, 2014, Colonel Obinna Ezuipke, director of Operation Hadin Kai’s intelligence unit, claimed 98 were still held captive.
