At the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) offices in Abuja, several youngsters are demonstrating. They are that Godwin Emefiele, the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, step down because, in their words, he has refused to answer questions from security personnel.
The demonstrators, who were carrying placards, demanded the CBN Governor’s resignation or dismissal, claiming he posed a threat to national security. Emefiele should accept the Department of State Service’s offer, according to the youngsters, who were speaking under the aegis of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) (DSS).
Comrade Solomon Adodo, president of the NYCN, who had been leading the demonstrators at the CBN gate, promised the group would continue the demonstration in Abuja and other parts of the nation until the CBN Governor resigned.
The CBN headquarters are under heavy protection due to the event.
