Senator Chimaroke Nnamani, a former governor of Enugu State, has requested that Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, remove his petition opposing President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu and work with him to build a new country.
Senator Nnamani invited Obi and his backers to join the jubilation and good cheer congratulating Tinubu on his election to the Presidency of the greatest black nation on earth.
He claimed that Obi is using the petition in a “bad belle, petulance, and demarketing” manner because he is aware that he lacks the support and broad appeal necessary to win the presidential election.
“His petition is dead when it gets there. He lacks widespread support or broad popularity. He is trying to discredit the newly elected president and tarnish his character by appealing to non-electoral issues.
He does not have widespread appeal on a national level, Nnamani emphasized. His petition is egotistical and an overextended joke. His attempt to draw attention to non-electoral concerns is an attempt to make the President-elect look bad.
Obi needs to get off his high horse so that calm minds can negotiate on behalf of the Igbo and the South East for a safe landing that includes our part in the national Palavar and Share of the commonwealth’s accruals, Nnamani said.
Nnamani asserts that “we must blend in and take part in the creation of a new Nigeria. We’re not leaving here. We are prepared to haggle for our fair share because we dey kampe. It is well known that other people also act in the same way.
“Igbo must face reality right away or they would be condemned to history’s backwater. The time has come to align.
