Cristiano Ronaldo’s personality, in Roy Keane’s opinion, is nothing new, and the assertions that he demoralizes teams are untrue.
Keane, a former teammate of Ronaldo’s, provided some intriguing perspective on the 37-year-old and his impact on the World Cup thus far.
Before Portugal’s round of 16 match against Switzerland, manager Fernando Santos of Portugal made the audacious decision to bench Ronaldo.
In the end, Goncalo Ramos, Ronaldo’s replacement, scored a hat-trick as Santos’ team prevailed 6-1.

In recent months, Keane has defended Ronaldo vigorously in the media and recently asserted that his attitude is nothing new.
“Are football players expected to be flawless? He said on the YouTube page for SkyBet. “Cristiano Ronaldo had this mentality ten years ago, but he would score a hat trick the next game, and he was 27 at the time — everyone would forgive him.
“People claim that he demoralizes teams, yet Juventus haven’t improved since he left them a few years ago.
