Adebayo Adelabu, the Accord party’s candidate for governor in Oyo State’s general elections in 2023, has stated that he intends to continue the policies of the late Abiola Ajimobi, the state’s immediately preceding governor.
Adelabu revealed this information over the weekend while appearing at a town hall event hosted by a radio station in Ibadan that Daily Post was listening to.
According to DAILY POST, Ajimobi served as the state’s governor from 2011 to 2019, and he passed away in the year 2020.
However, the former deputy governor for operations at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has made it clear that he plans to continue all of Ajimobi’s positive initiatives.
He claimed that doing this is essential to getting the state back on track.
Adelabu continued by stating emphatically that the state merits a capable and responsive leader.
He emphasized that the country needs a leader who is capable of appropriately leading the country.
Environmental sanitation, he continued, was one of the crucial issues in the state that needed immediate attention.
In order to stop the spread of diseases, he continued, it is necessary to reintroduce sanitary inspectors and weekly and monthly environmental cleanliness exercises in markets throughout the state.
“I want to reassure you that every successful policy of the most recent administration, led by the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi, will be continued.
“This is crucial to getting the state back on track and ensuring quick development in every industry within the state,”
