Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for president, declared yesterday that if he wins the upcoming general election, he is prepared to serve Nigeria with all of his heart and strength.
In Kano, Tinubu continued his nationwide campaign rally and asked residents to support him in the upcoming presidential election.
The former Lagos governor claimed that the size of the crowds he witnessed during the APC North West presidential campaign in Kano’s Sani Abacha Stadium is largely unparalleled.
With no words to express his gratitude to the regional governors, notably Ganduje, the host governor, Tinubu said, “I am simply here in Kano to dance and I will give peace and harmony and I will serve Nigeria.”
In a town hall meeting on Tuesday, Tinubu, who landed in Kano on Monday night, met with Muslim leaders from the North-West.
The Sani Abacha Stadium was packed to the gills with supporters yesterday, with more people outside the stadium than inside.
The APC presidential candidate and his campaign train arrived at the stadium after more than two hours of travel time.
He reaffirmed that, “after the 16 disgraceful years of the Peoples Democratic Party in power,” he had what it takes to carry on the developmental advancements made by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Tinubu stated that all he wanted to do was dance, and while he did so to Hausa music, he expressed his gratitude to the crowd by repeating, “Mungode, mungode, mungode.”
‘Wike Was Right, Atiku Lacks Integrity’
Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential contender, was criticized by Tinubu for not having anything to offer despite serving as vice president in the PDP administration that plagiarized Nigeria’s wealth.
The River State governor, Nyesom Wike, was correct all along when he said that Atiku lacked integrity, according to the APC flagbearer.
While serving as Vice President, he charged Atiku of creating a university that was too expensive for Nigerians to attend.
The APC candidate warned the residents of Kano not to be duped into allowing the PDP to retake power in any capacity because doing so would mean a return to bad governance in all spheres.
With his ongoing involvement in the most intense political party campaigns, Tinubu claimed he has continued to disprove the claims made about his health.
We can improve, make Nigeria safer, and make it more rich, he said.
We have the power to feed our people, educate our children, and eliminate terror.
These are things that we are capable of doing.
You can advance with our help.
The others cannot, though.
They seek to impede your progress so that they alone can advance.
They only provide phony assurances and simplistic solutions that are unreliable.
All they can teach you is how to despise and ignore your Nigerian neighbor.
However, they are unable to demonstrate to you how to safeguard our civilization, feed our populace, create jobs, or assist those who are actually in need.
“Let me state this emphatically.
This ad is about the journey we are all taking toward a better Nigeria.
Do we advance in step?
Or do we fail to notice the road?
“We have to move forward.
But we must not overlook the way they wasted our Commonwealth.
They played with our lives and the future of this nation for 16 years.
They invested $16 billion in power but ended up with total darkness.
The pipelines and processing plants that provide us with electricity were forgotten.
They distributed the proceeds from the production of electricity among themselves and their allies.
He and his party are unable to fulfill their promises.
Tell me how they plan to uphold their national pledge.
Their celebration is in ruins, so it makes sense!
Governor Wike was correct when he said, “Look at the man and his background,” in reference to a lack of honesty.
“Their contribution to institutional creation is to form the EFCC to persecute political rivals rather than fight corruption, and to establish the electoral commission to rig elections, not to hold fair elections.
“The PDP and its candidate are not interested in serving your needs.
They have no good intentions for either you or the nation.
Although they spoke about the Green Revolution, their 16-year dictatorship did little but drive up the cost of importing food.
What they understand is ‘consumption economy’ not ‘production-based economy’.”
The Anchor Borrowers’ Programme, which focuses on rice production, the Lagos-Ibadan highway, which the PDP failed to fix, the Second Niger Bridge, which has just opened, among many other infrastructure projects, were among the accomplishments President Buhari’s eight years that were listed by Tinubu.
He declared that, if elected, he will overhaul the public financial system to open up new revenue streams for the nation, just like he did while he served as governor of Lagos.
Speaking specifically about Kano, Tinubu pledged to build on the successes achieved in the agricultural industry.
In addition, he promised to upgrade the highways between Kano and Maiduguri and Kano and Kaduna as well as the rail connection between Kano and Lagos to facilitate the simple movement of goods and services.
For his part, Governor Ganduje referred to Ahmed Bola Tinubu as Allah willing, Nigeria’s next president.
He asserted that Tinubu possesses the intellectual capacity to save the nation from the numerous socioeconomic issues that hang over her head.
He stated, “Tinubu is a skilled accountant with the know-how to turn around the country’s faltering economy and reposition the educational sector, improving on health and agricultural growth.
Ganduje claimed that they carefully considered Tinubu’s candidacy and resolved to take three factors into account when making plans to win the upcoming election.
The governor stated that the APC candidate has been tried and trusted when he served as the governor of Lagos state, and he is quickly making it now and will undoubtedly be making it in the near future. Some of the variables, according to the governor, include his credibility and capacity to lead the nation.
On behalf of the APC governors, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, the chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, thanked Ganduje for the cordial welcome.
The crowd that gathered to greet the APC presidential candidate, according to Bagudu, “brightens the heart.”
“What we witnessed in Kano is indicative of what occurred in 2015 and 2019 when President Buhari visited the state,” said the witness.
There is no question that the people of Kano will vote en masse for the APC because they are so passionate about the party, he said.
Kano was referred to as the nation’s political hub earlier by APC national chairman Abdullahi Adamu.
Adamu remarked in Hausa, “Kano Tumbin Giwa yaro Ko da mai Kazo a fika,” which roughly translates to “Whatever you are searching for, you definitely find it.” Kano is the pacesetter among all the Hausa states and the stomach of an elephant.
Adamu continued speaking in Hausa, saying that “whoever is looking for political victory must come to Kano and since Tinubu is accepted by the state he should go home and sleep.” He was metaphorically referring to Kano as the epicenter of all political activities and as the residence of reputable political juggernauts.
Your Lack Of Integrity Forced Buhari To Shun Your Campaign, Atiku Fires Back
In response, the PDP candidate for president said that Tinubu’s complete lack of integrity was the reason why President Muhammadu Buhari was forced to withdraw his support for the APC’s presidential campaign.
Speaking via the spokesman for the Atiku/Okowa presidential campaign, Kola Ologbondiyan, Atiku questioned whether or not it was preposterous that Tinubu was addressing Nigerians while having a corruption accusation hanging over his head.
In a statement he released last night, Ologbondiyan questioned whether it was even possible for a presidential candidate who was facing numerous accusations of corruption, perjury, identity theft, name-changing, and alleged drug offenses—for which he was fined a whopping $460,000 by the United States of America—to muster the courage to speak to any group about integrity.
Has Asiwaju Tinubu justified the identity theft of the photograph of former Cross River State Governor Donald Duke, which was purposefully exploited by his campaign group to depict him as a smart young man?
The Atiku/Okowa campaign claims that President Buhari’s continued absence from the APC presidential campaigns demonstrates his worry that Tinubu will lose a free, fair, and credible election on February 25 as a result of his lack of integrity.
“Our campaign further maintains that President Buhari is separating himself from Tinubu’s campaign because the APC presidential candidate is unable to offer a compelling justification for his alleged involvement in the forfeiture of $460,000 to American authorities in a drug-related incident.
Therefore, given that his countrymen have not yet fully recovered from previous such incidents under his leadership, we advise Tinubu to refrain from making empty promises to Nigerians.
We implore Nigerians to continue supporting Atiku Abubakar, the front-runner in the race for president, in the effort to save and restore our country.
