High Chief Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi, Chairman of DAAR Communications Limited and Technical Director of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council (PDP-PCC), has been exonerated following a “event” that caused him to be delayed at London Heathrow airport on Sunday.
According to a previous story by THEWILL, Dokpesi was arrested by immigration officers at Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 2 in London not long after he landed from Frankfurt, Germany on a Lufthansa Flight LH916.
According to a statement released on Monday by the DAAR Communications management, Dokpesi was freed when British Immigration officers stamped and cleared his passport for entry.
Dokpesi arrived via Frankfurt from Abuja on a Lufthansa flight, according to the statement, and was given priority access to the exit before other passengers.
Dokpesi had to wait at the airport for a few hours before having his passport stamped and receiving permission from British immigration officers to enter the nation.
“His trip to the UK is not unrelated to the British government’s invitation to Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, to share opinions on problems related to the 2023 elections.
“The PDP Presidential Campaign Council’s Deputy Director-General, Technical & Systems is the media founder.
In response to the news of the incident, “Chief Dokpesi wishes to thank everyone for their outpouring of love, prayers, and support and to reassure that he is healthy and hearty.”
