A conflict between Yoruba Nation agitators and the police in Ojota resulted in the death of a male adult who has not yet been named, according to Channels Television.

A source told Channels Television that when the police arrived to restrain some agitators who had come out to demand the Yoruba Nation among other things, a scuffle ensued.
In a statement, Hundeyin claimed that under the guise of the gathering, the agitators were interfering with social and economic activity in the Ojota region.
He claimed that a group of police officers from the Alausa Division and the Raid Respond Squad (RRS) quickly intervened to disperse the unwelcome crowd and avert the breakdown of law and order.
The criminals ambushed the cops, firing at them and wreaking havoc on two vehicles. Two police officers who were shot by the miscreants are currently receiving treatment, while one individual has been confirmed deceased.
Investigations have started after the arrest of four suspects. In the interim, the region has returned to normal. Lagosians are asked to go about their lawful business as usual since precautions have been taken to prevent more law and order breakdowns and because the situation is being closely watched.
