Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate for the African Action Congress, stated on Wednesday that Nigerians who support the current government’s All Progressives Congress in the upcoming 2023 election “enjoy pain.”
The AAC flag bearer made this statement during an interview on PUNCH Newspapers’ “The Roundtable.”
When asked if he would be surprised if the APC’s presidential nominee won the 2023 election, Sowore responded that either voting for the APC would include rigging or people who aren’t sick of suffering.
He also questioned why it appeared that Nigerians had a history of standing by their “abusers.”
Sowore, who was furious, declared, “I’ll be astonished if the APC wins, but first, we need to analyze two things.
The APC is accustomed to winning elections that never take place, therefore the first question is whether there was a legitimate election. Very murky party; the PDP suffered from this when they held power (at the centre).
“Secondly, if it is true that they won the election, we must assess Nigerians as a people to see if there is a problem with our capacity for accepting punishment. Do we ever grow weary of being punished? Do we ever become weary of being mistreated?
