According to legal eminence Femi Falana, Godwin Emefiele, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), is not now in Nigeria (SAN).
According to Falana, Emefiele has been secretly proclaimed wanted by the Department of State Services (DSS, also known as the State Security Service, SSS) over allegations of supporting terrorism, according to POLITICS NIGERIA. In an interview that aired on Channels Television on Sunday night, Falana made this claim. This newspaper listened in on the interview.

This could only occur in a banana republic, where the CBN Governor would be charged with funding terrorism, according to Falana.

The governor of the central bank’s absence was made public last December when he failed to appear before the National Assembly to provide an explanation for the redesign of the naira and the cash withdrawal restrictions.
After that, it was reported that he was on leave before it was assumed he would be on the run.
