It’s been a busy couple of days with the persistent cash shortage, election day chaos, the long-seeming vote counting, the allegations of rigging, and the disagreements regarding the outcome.

You need a rest. Get some popcorn or another favorite snack, your significant other or some pals, and watch one of these five intriguing movies to relax after the stressful election:

‘Here Love Lies’

Travel to the ideal world where American tour guide Michael and Amanda, a single parent and travel blogger, decide to try their luck at love.

You won’t think about the current situation even a single time while watching this Tope Oshin-directed film since you’ll be so engrossed in Amanda and Michael’s emotional, passionate, and stunningly realistic world!

Netflix is presently offering “Here Love Lies” for streaming.

‘Battle on Buka Street’

Watching this riotous comedy is a great way to escape reality. This comedy-drama provides the most comic relief by putting viewers in the world of two competitive half-sisters, whose animosity grows as they both open up food shops on the same street.

You can expect a wonderful time with Funke Akindele in charge. It is now being screened in theaters.

‘Brotherhood’

Jade Osiberu’s thriller will have your adrenaline pumping with its high-level heists, gunfire, and explosions.

The movie has just the proper amount of excitement to help you escape your current situation, despite its classic plot of twins who choose divergent paths that ultimately bring them back together.

Prime Video is currently streaming.

‘Love in a Pandemic’

Gather here, rom-com fans. Enjoy this romantic drama that brilliantly captures the highs and lows of passion, due to the outstanding performances of Nancy Isime and the rest of the actors.

Akay Mason’s clear and concise film, which is entertaining to watch since it features a villain, a dreamy new love interest who will do anything for you, and a perplexed girl stuck in the middle, is directed.

It is now playing in a few cinema.

‘Aki and Paw Paw’

Everyone who grew up during the “good, old days” of Nollywood would always feel safe among these two.

It’s always entertaining to observe Aki and Paw Paw’s mission to achieve fame and money by any means necessary.

Although some could contend that it isn’t as good as the classic films from the past, this 2021 adaptation nonetheless does the trick.

‘Aki and Paw Paw’ is available on Netflix right now.
