Kiki Osinbajo, the daughter of vice president Yemi Osinbajo, was not detained in London, despite rumours to the contrary, according to a reliable source in the presidential villa.
Kiki Osinbajo arrived in Abuja on Tuesday with her father as the vice president was traveling back from the UN World Tourism Organization’s Global Tourism Conference in Lagos, a source in the presidential villa revealed to NAN.
According to the source, Kiki Osinbajo was in Abuja when a widely circulated report said she had been detained in London.
According to Kemi Filani, a Liberian tiktok user stated in a one minute, 22 second video that Kiki Osinbajo was detained by UK police on Wednesday while in possession of enormous amounts of cash.
In a subsequent video, the TikTok user retracts the prior statement about the vice president’s daughter.
In less than two hours since it was posted, the 59-second video has received over 400 views.
“I want to apologize to Kiki Osinbajo since she was never arrested,” the Liberian added. The tale is false, and my source tricked me by mistaking another person for Kiki.
“I want to clarify that Kiki Osinbajo was never arrested in the video I earlier released. I am so sorry to my followers and her. My inside source claimed that Kiki Osinbajo was actually someone else, thus she was never arrested.
