The Yahoo Boys, or internet scammers, were promised change and tech training by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate.

At the party’s presidential campaign event held in the University of Benin (UNIBEN) sports complex on Thursday, he made the pledge in Benin.

The presidential candidate claims that his entry into the contest is intended to bring happiness and wealth to Nigerians.

“We will create jobs, we will make this state an energy state, and we will train the ‘Yahoo Boys’ to be experts in chip fabrication,” declared Tinubu.

“Elect me if you want riches and expertise to become wealthy.

If you tell someone to retire today, you are retiring their knowledge and talents.

We are able to combat poverty and free ourselves from its chains, even those of ignorance and homelessness.

Together, we shall complete it.

Trust me, we have the knowledge and the brains.

I am a pro at finding a route where none exists.

The power of thinking and acting is that.

“One who does not know the route cannot show the road,” remarked Tinubu in response to former President Olusegun Obasanjo endorsing Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.

He continued by calling the endorsement harmful for the nation.

In addition, Tinubu stated that if elected president, he would demand compensation for the money recovered from stolen antiques and make financial commitments to the projected royal museum in Benin.

Earlier, the state is ready to guarantee Asiwaju’s election victory in 2023, according to Davis Imuse, the party’s state chairman.

Adams Oshiomhole, a former national chairman of the APC who also spoke, remarked that Tinubu has made significant contributions to the promotion of multiparty democracy in Nigeria and that Asiwaju believed in the unity of the nation.

The governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Ganduje, referred to the Edo people as being highly devoted in his statement, while also stating that the 19 northern states were committed to electing Tinubu.
