Atiku wins the Kaduna election-Election results

Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate, won the poll in Kaduna State last Saturday.

PDP triumphed in 14 local government areas, Labour Party in 7, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in just two.

Atiku received 554,360 votes, according to Professor Muhammad Zayyan Umar, the returning officer, while Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the APC received 399,293 votes, according to the final figures tallied and released by INEC at the state collation center.

According to him, Peter Obi, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) received 92,962 votes, while the presidential candidate for the Labour Party received 294,494 votes.

From of the 4.3 million registered voters, he said that 1.4 million were accredited to vote in Kaduna.
